I met up with another one of my English friends in London on that Monday afternoon. She and I met in Paris at our language school.
After cooking dinner, we went out to a pub not far from her house, to meet up with her friends. These are people that she has known since she was eleven; they are all loud, energetic, affectionate and hilarious.
When I walked in, there was a pub quiz going on. The questions were being announced over the speakers, and the group was carefully discussing their answers. There were at least three questions about American presidents, and I think I only got one of them. When the U.S. came up, all six of them would look at me, expecting an answer.
Definitely a lot of fun, just having a pint and chatting with them.
